"In making this record, I really wanted to take the energy and vibe of "Jesus Rocks the World" into the Christmas realm. In my experience there's a real lack of up-tempo Chrissy songs, so while wanting to accurately reflect the Biblical accounts of Jesus' birth, I also wanted to make an album that jumped out of the speaker and really grooved."

Why look at Jesus' birth?? ". . . Jesus came as Saviour - that's why it was such good news for us sinners. Immanuel - "God with us" - is a name that points to the wonder of God as a baby, one of us, among us. What a humiliation for the Prince of Peace and Lord of Lords - born a helpless baby! And what a wonder that such good news for us could be of such glory to God - he sent a choir of angels to fill the sky to get that message across! I found some great truths about God to share as I read the Scriptures!

The band who played on the album are 4 of the finest session players in Australia. . . and the recording was fast and furious. . . I believe it ought to sound like we had a great time making the record (cos we did!) and that many of the "moments" on the album were truly spontaneous (which they were!)

With this record, I've tried to walk the line of successfully balancing the cultural trappings of Christmas (tinsel, fairy lights and sleigh bells) with the biblical message while wanting to make it all engagingly up-beat.
